We’ve found Oris watches to be the perfect accompaniment to our favorite Alps & Meters outfits so far this winter, so we’re sharing a few of our recommendations below.

When the temperature hit its lowest points this December and January, the combination of the Patrol Bomber and the Ski Race Knit Patrol keeps us toasty in the outdoors. This is a duo built to withstand the cold and blustery conditions faced by patrollers.

The military origins of the National Ski Patrol and the aviation inspiration for the bomber make a classic military-inspired aviator’s watch a natural pairing. The Oris Big Crown ProPilot series is the result of extensive research together with professional Pilots and Oris product designers. This watch is not only your perfect companion in the cockpit but also a marvelous timepiece wherever your challenges will take you.

With the FIS season in full swing, we’ve long been fascinated with the intrepid men and women that push the limits on race courses like the Streif in Kitzbühl, Austria or Birds of Prey at Beaver Creek, Colorado.

The Alpine Combined Knit is our nod to all of these ski racers throughout history, which makes the Chronoris a perfect pairing. Taking its cues from motorsport history, where speed and precision also make the utmost difference, we love the signature orange accents at 12 o’clock and on the second hand - a constant reminder for us to keep pushing our own limits, on and off the mountain.

A casual, off-mountain outfit gives plenty of opportunities for self expression with your timepiece. The Artelier Complication is an elegant everyday dress watch, with the subtle flourish of the moon phase movement - perfect for any occasion.

A trusty, versatile standby like the Alpine Guide Sweater deserves a timeless companion on your wrist. Oris’s Big Crown Pointer Date first entered the Oris collection in 1938, more than eight decades ago.

Today, the same design principles continue to inform the Big Crown Pointer Date. Over time, it’s been refined with material and mechanical improvements, but its timeless pioneering spirit remains, just like the alpine guides that inspired the sweater.

We love how well the Classic Cable Knit works in a tonal neutral ensemble for the mountains. The Classic Date, in its neutral color palette, is a watch of simplicity and quality, with a three-piece stainless-steel case, big crown, and exquisitely engraved numerals and indices on a finely patterned dial. A perfect compliment to a chic alpine outfit.
